Head of Marketplaces

Location: London, UK (Hybrid: 2 days in office, 3 days remote)


An established and fast-growing consumer brand with annual marketplace revenues of £25 million, the vast majority from Amazon, is seeking a Head of Marketplaces to lead and evolve our strategy.


This is a senior role with full P&L responsibility for the Amazon channel and oversight of smaller marketplace initiatives. You will manage a small in-house team and coordinate with specialist agencies who support execution, with your primary focus on setting and delivering the strategy that drives Amazon growth and profitability.


Key responsibilities:

  • Own and deliver the P&L for Amazon and other marketplaces, with Amazon as the main priority
  • Define and execute the Amazon strategy across multiple geographies, ensuring alignment with overall business goals
  • Lead and develop a small in-house team, supported by agencies for execution in advertising, content, and optimisation
  • Oversee pricing, promotions, and merchandising to maximise sales and profitability
  • Analyse performance data, market trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and risks
  • Build and manage relationships with Amazon vendor/marketplace teams to unlock commercial opportunities


About you:

  • Proven track record of owning and growing a significant Amazon P&L, ideally £10m+ revenue
  • Strong strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into measurable results
  • Deep knowledge of Amazon Vendor Central and/or Seller Central, advertising tools, and analytics platforms
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience managing teams and external partners
  • Commercially astute, highly analytical, and confident making data-led decisions
  • Experience in consumer goods, DTC, or omnichannel retail environments preferred
