Job description
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The purpose of this role is to lead the coordination and execution of collection development Mainline and Outlet Footwear collections under the direction of the Senior Studio Manager and collaborating with designers. The Collection Coordinator serves as the key interface between the Design team and other business areas, ensuring seamless communication and management of product development launches—from prototypes to allocation details. The role ensures that critical path deadlines are met, aligns business objectives, and provides expert specialised support to senior leadership and design throughout the process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Technical Administration
- Own the collection breakdown to track prototypes and material trial launched, proactively flagging any discrepancies.
- Manage and maintain allocation deck, ensuring all details are up to date and effectively communicated to the wider business.
- Interact and collaborate daily with JCF Product Development team on prototype launches.
- Interact and collaborate with the Merchandising Team pre/post recaps to coordinate launches/requests and their ability to send targets.
- Attend collection review meetings in London and drive the documentation process ensuring decisions are accurately captured and shared.
- Collaborate with Materials Coordinator to confirm materials selected and official names for Material Allocation deck.
- Support design team with queries regarding collection.
- Upload and track all prototype fitting comments when taking place in the London Studio.
- Communicate with JCF on all changes/updates affecting tech sheets/BoMs.
- Work with Product Development teams to flag to Design team any approvals that need to be done.
- Attend Post Production fittings and go through detailing for approval or unification for production technical sheets/BoMs to communicate to JCF.
Collection Development and Critical Path Support
- Drive critical path management by ensuring deadlines are met, risks are flagged early, and all teams stay aligned on key milestones.
- Create and maintain Design boards for collection material allocation.
- Take full ownership as the key contact for all collection related queries, ensuring alignment across Design, Merchandising and external teams.
- Supporting Design team in follow up of proto samples, construction developments, technical trials and seasonal hardware.
- Attending Design & Merchandising meetings
General Administration
- Assisting Senior Studio Manager and Senior Design Director where required.
- Support Design team in creating visual boards for Collection Presentations
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong attention to detail
- Flexible approach to work and problem solving
- Industrial experience, including critical path management and shoe product knowledge desirable
- Team player with clear communication skills across all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in luxury brands
- Italian speaker (desirable not essential)
