Job description
An elite US law firm is seeking a newly-qualified Associate to join its highly regarded Financial Services Regulatory team. The group advises a broad spectrum of financial services clients, including fund administrators, depositaries, insurance and credit brokers, financial advisory firms, and payment service providers. The team is known for its strategic guidance on regulatory compliance, FCA authorisations, fund structuring, governance, and the evolving landscape of UK and EU financial services regulation, including ESG-related developments.
Associates in this team work on a wide range of non-contentious regulatory matters, often in the context of high-value corporate transactions and complex fund structuring. The practice regularly supports private equity firms, investment funds, and fund managers, offering regulatory advice linked to M&A, cross-border deals, and fundraising activities. The team also has deep expertise in advising on primary and secondary fundraising, GP-led transactions, and emerging trends in the alternative investment space.
This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with specialists across financial services regulation, private funds, and corporate transactions. Associates are exposed to a dynamic and intellectually stimulating environment, where they contribute to high-profile mandates and help clients navigate complex regulatory frameworks. The team’s integrated approach ensures that lawyers gain experience across multiple disciplines and jurisdictions.
Candidates should demonstrate strong academic credentials, commercial awareness, and a genuine interest in financial services regulation. Applicants must be on track to complete their training contract at a City firm by March 2026 and have prior experience in financial services regulatory work.
