Financial Restructuring & Insolvency Associate (1–5PQE) – Elite US Law Firm – Central London


Our client, a leading US law firm with a premier reputation in financial restructuring, is seeking a talented associate (1–5PQE) to join its expanding London team. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside some of the most highly regarded restructuring partners in the market, advising on complex, cross-border mandates for top-tier clients.

The Role


This opportunity has arisen due to continued growth and an active pipeline of high-value mandates. The successful candidate will join a dynamic, collegiate team and work closely with senior lawyers on:


  • Cross-border financial restructurings and insolvency matters
  • Liability management transactions and innovative financing solutions
  • Advising creditors, sponsors, corporates, and financial institutions
  • UK, European, and US restructuring processes (including Chapter 11 and UK restructuring plans)
  • Distressed M&A, special situations, and event-driven financings
  • Out-of-court workouts and in-court restructurings


You will gain exposure to headline transactions and work directly with clients from day one, benefiting from the firm’s integrated global platform.


What They’re Looking For


  • 1–5PQE, ideally UK qualified (strong international candidates considered)
  • Experience in financial restructuring, insolvency, or special situations from a leading international or City firm
  • Strong academic background and technical skills
  • Commercial mindset, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with excellent communication and client-handling skills
