Service Designer (SC Eligible)
Salary: £50-70K + Benefits
Location: Manchester, London or Glasgow (hybrid – 1 day per week onsite)

What You’ll Do
- Lead and contribute across the full service design process – from ideation and discovery through to prototyping, testing, and delivery.
- Champion user-centred and inclusive design practices, ensuring accessibility and usability are embedded throughout.
- Work collaboratively in agile, multidisciplinary teams alongside researchers, designers, product owners, and developers.
- Create service design artefacts such as user journeys, blueprints, personas, and service concepts that communicate complex ideas clearly.
- Facilitate workshops, design sprints and co-creation sessions with clients and users to shape and refine service experiences.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement within existing services.
- Contribute to internal initiatives, thought leadership, and knowledge sharing across the design community.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end service design projects in agile environments.
- Strong understanding of user-centred design, accessibility standards, and inclusive design principles.
- Hands-on experience creating key service design artefacts (journeys, blueprints, prototypes).
- Familiarity with Government Digital Service (GDS) standards and applying GDS design principles.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.
- A curious, analytical mindset with the ability to simplify complex problems.
- Eligibility for SC (Security Check) clearance – UK resident for the past 5 years with no extended absences.
