Job description

Aureos is seeking a Quality Assurance Trainee. This entry-level role will offer hands-on experience in auditing practices and quality verified systems across various sectors, including Energy, Rail, and Highways. Support audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting, while learning to assess compliance, identify risks, and contribute to operational improvements.


The role will involve regular travel across the UK (Including NI).


Primary tasks and duties


  • Conduct independent audits across Energy, Rail, and Highways business units.
  • Assess compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and contractual obligations.
  • Identify operational risks and control weaknesses; recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, evidence-based audit reports.
  • Travel extensively across the UK (including Northern Ireland) to perform on-site audits.


Secondary tasks and duties


  • Improve audit processes and tools.
  • Share findings and encourage best practices.
  • Stay updated on sector regulations.
  • Help with internal reviews
  • Join projects focused on compliance and governance


Qualifications, Training and Skills


Essential:


  • A – C GCSEs and A Level educated
  • Driving Licence
  • A driven focus to absorb knowledge and learn
  • Willingness to travel
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to interact with BU staff at all levels
  • Flexible and willing to learn how different business streams work


Desirable:

  • Knowledge and understanding of management systems (9001, 14001, 45001)
  • Work in highly regulated environments
