Dietitian – Eating Disorders Unit (Band 6/7)

Part-time (30 hours) | Salary: £27,706 – £48,000 per annum (DOE)

Location: Southampton

Hybrid option available (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

Are you an experienced and compassionate Dietitian looking to make a genuine difference in people’s lives? Join a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team providing recovery-focused care within a beautiful, therapeutic environment in Southampton.

You’ll be part of a dedicated and friendly team supporting adults with eating disorders and acute mental health needs in a 13-bed inpatient setting. What you’ll do:

  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients with eating disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualised meal plans that support both physical and psychological recovery.
  • Provide education and counselling to patients and families on balanced nutrition, healthy eating habits, and relapse prevention.
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, therapists, nurses, and medical staff to deliver integrated care plans.
  • Monitor patient progress, adapt interventions as needed, and contribute to multidisciplinary reviews.

What we’re looking for:

  • Registered Dietitian with at least 2 years post-qualification experience.
  • Skilled in nutritional assessment, meal planning, and counselling for complex clinical needs.
  • Excellent communicator and strong team player who fits well within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Empathetic, professional, and able to remain calm and supportive through challenging situations.
  • Experience within eating disorders is desirable but not essential – full training provided.
