We are seeking an experienced Accounts Supervisor to join an established accountancy practice in Portsmouth. What You'll Be Doing

• Take responsibility for a portfolio of client accounts, reviewing work and ensuring quality delivery
• Prepare statutory financial statements for various companies and organizations
• Manage corporation tax returns and oversee personal tax compliance work
• Handle sole trader and partnership accounts, including associated tax filings
• Work with cloud accounting platforms, providing digital solutions to clients
• Guide, coach, and develop junior team members
• Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities to add value
• Support senior managers with client relationships and business development
  
  

About You

You're an ACA/ACCA qualified accountant with solid practice experience and strong technical knowledge. You can manage your own workload effectively while building lasting client relationships. You're ready to develop your supervisory and leadership capabilities while delivering high-quality accounts and tax work.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• ACA or ACCA qualified with minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience
• Solid accountancy practice background
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting and tax
• Understanding of UK accounting standards and corporate tax requirements
• Hands-on experience with cloud accounting systems
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Desirable:

• Exposure to personal tax work
• People management experience
• Client management skills
