Quality Inspector in Leith

Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Control (QC) Inspector to join our fabrication team. This is a key role responsible for ensuring that all fabricated and welded products meet internal standards, client specifications, and applicable industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect fabricated components, welds, and raw materials for quality and compliance
• Conduct dimensional checks and calibrate measurement tools
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and client specifications
• Monitor fabrication and welding processes on the shop floor
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and quality reports
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address quality issues
• Maintain traceability of materials and consumables used in fabrication

Requirements:

• Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Solid understanding of industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME, AWS, ISO)
• Effective communication and documentation skills
• Previous experience in quality control within a fabrication or heavy industry environment
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CSWIP, CWI) are an advantage but not required
