Product Owner in Surrey

Job description

Fimador are currently looking for a Product Owner to lead the delivery of innovative digital solutions that accelerate R&D across the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector. You’ll sit at the intersection of science, technology, and product strategy, translating complex laboratory workflows into powerful, intuitive software that enables better data, collaboration, and insight.

What You’ll Do:

• Own and deliver the roadmap for key product areas within a scientific software platform.
• Partner closely with scientists, lab managers, and technical teams to understand how real-world research happens — and turn those insights into smart digital solutions.
• Define and manage the product backlog, ensuring priorities align with business goals and user needs.
• Collaborate with Engineering, UX, and QA to deliver high-value features using Agile methods.
• Gather market and user feedback to shape future product direction and innovation.
• Act as the voice of the scientist throughout the product lifecycle.

About You:

• Experienced Product Owner or Technical Product Manager with a track record of delivering successful software products.
• Background working with pharma, biotech, or life sciences organisations — ideally within R&D or informatics.
• Comfortable engaging with scientists and lab-based users, understanding how they think and work.
• Strong grasp of scientific data management, ELN/LIMS systems, or laboratory automation.
• Confident leading Agile ceremonies and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Degree in a scientific or technical field (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Biotech, Computer Science, Engineering).
