Job Title: Health Coach - Cancer Patient Support 


Location: Glasgow and West of Scotland 


Job Type: Part-time 

 

About Us: We are a dedicated non-clinical health organisation committed to providing comprehensive support to cancer and chronic health patients. Our team works closely with healthcare professionals to offer personalised coaching and guidance to improve the overall wellbeing of our patients. 

 

Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Health Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health coaching, with a focus on supporting chronic health patients. You will work directly with patients to develop personalised care plans, provide emotional support, and help them navigate their cancer journey. Additionally, you will deliver one-on-one and group sessions to support patients' health and fitness goals. 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct one-on-one and group coaching sessions with cancer and chronic health patients to assess their needs and develop personalised care plans. 
  • Provide ongoing support and motivation to patients, helping them achieve their health and wellbeing goals. 
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. 
  • Educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices, nutrition, and stress management techniques. 
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust health plans as needed. 
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records. 


Qualifications: 


  • Certified Health Coach and / or CanRehab  
  • Personal Trainer L4 qualification, or a degree in Sport Science. 
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred. 
  • Strong understanding of cancer treatment and its impact on patients' physical and emotional well-being. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. 
  • Empathetic and compassionate approach to patient care. 
  • Experience in programming health and fitness plans. 
  • IT literate with the ability to use relevant software and tools. 
  • Knowledge of local health resources and support services in Glasgow.
