Project Estimator – Engineering & Manufacturing - Bedford - Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits

Are you an experienced Estimator looking to apply your skills in a dynamic engineering environment? We’re recruiting for a Project Estimator to join a well-established R&D and manufacturing company in Bedfordshire, specialising in innovative special-purpose process equipment for industries such as food and beverage.

About the Role

As a Project Estimator, you’ll play a key role in supporting the sales and engineering teams by:

• Preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for both standard and bespoke equipment solutions.
• Compiling quotations that include installation, servicing, and associated project costs.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure estimates are technically sound and commercially viable.

This position is ideal for professionals with a background working in a manufacturing or engineering setting working within estimating, proposals Engineering, Cost Engineering, Technical Sales, or Project Cost Control.

What You’ll Need

• Proven experience in estimating within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office 365, especially Excel, Word, and Access.
• Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, or Marketo.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels—from shop floor to senior leadership and clients.
