The Opportunity: Shape Complex Cross-Border Deals

GA-Alliance is strategically expanding our Corporate and Commercial team in the heart of the City of London, and we are seeking one or more UK-qualified lawyers (NQ – 5 PQE) to drive our growth.

This isn't typical UK-centric corporate work. This is a rare, high-impact opportunity to be a central part of an international practice, managing a wide range of complex, cross-border matters for a predominantly international client base. You will gain invaluable experience with a particular focus on high-stakes projects across the European and African markets.

You will step into a genuinely collaborative and entrepreneurial environment where you will be empowered to provide high-quality legal counsel on both transactional and advisory matters from day one.

Key Responsibilities – Your Impact:

  • Transactional Advisory: Advise clients and draft documentation for complex M&A transactions, joint venture agreements, commercial contracts, corporate restructurings, and projects development.
  • Client Engagement: Represent and support clients directly across all commercial and corporate matters.
  • Execution Discipline: Play a critical role in assisting in the preparation of legal documents, contracts, and due diligence reports.
  • Governance & Compliance: Provide expert maintenance and update on legal files and documentation.
  • Research & Strategy: Collaborate with the team to research specific, complex legal points, contributing directly to strategic client solutions.

Who We Are Looking For – Your Profile:

We are seeking a highly motivated, bright, and adaptable lawyer ready to embrace the challenges of an international practice.

Essential Requirements:

  • UK Law Qualification: Solicitor or Barrister qualified in England and Wales. (Additional post-qualification experience or qualification in other major jurisdictions will be strongly viewed as a benefit).
  • Demonstrable Experience: Relevant experience (NQ – 5 PQE) in Corporate/Commercial law, with solid knowledge of UK legislation and regulations.
  • Client & Commercial Acumen: A highly client-focused approach with a proven ability to manage multiple complex mandates, prioritise effectively, and meet tight international deadlines.
  • Team & Network Player: Proven ability to work independently within a small, dedicated London team while effectively collaborating across a vast international network.
  • Precision & Drive: Exceptional attention to detail, precision in legal drafting, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • International Exposure: Coordinate and supervise local counsels in different jurisdictions, with particular focus on the African region
  • Multilingual Capability: Fluency in additional languages highly desirable, particularly Italian, French or Arabic, to facilitate seamless work across key project regions.

Logistics & Culture

  • Location: This is a permanent, full-time role based in our prestigious London office, located at the heart of the City.
  • Mobility: Potential for international travel to support key client projects and regional coordination.
  • Schedule: Our standard office hours are 09:30 – 18:30. We believe in the power of a collaborative environment, with a current requirement for 5 days in the office per week.

If you are a UK-qualified lawyer ready to dramatically accelerate your career and make a significant international impact within a truly global firm, we invite you to take the next step.
