Our client – a top-tier international law firm – is seeking a proven and ambitious senior lawyer or partner to join its growing and market-leading Trade Finance team in London.

This is a unique opportunity to join a firm renowned for its strength in banking and finance, with an enviable client base spanning major financial institutions, global corporates, and multilaterals. The firm is investing strategically in its trade and commodity finance capabilities and is looking for an individual who can play a key role in shaping and expanding this practice.

The Opportunity:

• Lead and grow a dedicated Trade Finance practice within a high-performing, collaborative global finance team.
• Advise on complex structured trade, export, and commodity finance transactions across emerging and developed markets.
• Work alongside leading practitioners in project finance, asset finance, and structured lending, leveraging the firm’s full-service global platform.
• Benefit from cross-border deal flow, a strong referral network, and a clear strategic commitment from leadership.

The Ideal Candidate:

• A partner-level lawyer with a demonstrable track record in trade finance, structured trade, or commodity finance.
• Strong client relationships within banks, ECAs, funds, or trading houses.
• A collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset, capable of building teams and developing client opportunities.
• Experience gained within a top-tier international, City, or leading boutique firm.
