Role: Legal Counsel (6+ PQE)
Contract: 12-Months | Full-Time
Start Date: January 2026
Location: London
Hybrid working: 2 days in office, 3 days WFH

We’re partnering with a leading global investment advisory firm that provides a full suite of services to institutional investors, family offices, and intermediaries. With a focus on alternative investments across Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Real Assets, and more, this organisation prides itself on independence, transparency, and industry-leading best practices.
They are looking for a Legal Counsel to join the team on a 12-month contract, reporting to the General Counsel, to support legal and compliance matters across the business. This is a varied role offering exposure to multiple teams and functions globally.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Draft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial agreements, including service agreements, NDAs, supplier contracts, and RFP responses.
 - Provide legal guidance across the business, supporting functions such as Compliance, Client Services, Research, HR, IT, and other teams on strategic initiatives, regulatory matters, business negotiations, and general corporate matters.
 - Work with external counsel where required, documenting advice and ensuring follow-up on legal matters.
 - Support global legal projects, corporate governance, and, where required, company secretarial responsibilities.
 - Liaise and collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders at all levels across multiple jurisdictions, including the US, UK, Cyprus, and Asia.
 - Participate in compliance or legal committees and client or external-facing events as needed.
 
Who You Are
- Experienced in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements (NDAs, service agreements, supplier contracts, RFP responses).
 - Solutions-oriented with the ability to manage multiple legal matters across different areas.
 - Knowledgeable in data protection and/or intellectual property law is a plus.
 - Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams including Finance, HR, IT, and Communications.
 - Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks in the investment advisory sector is advantageous.
 - Employment law knowledge is desirable.
 - Excellent written and verbal communication, strong organizational skills, and a collaborative team player mindset.
