About the Role

We're seeking a Senior Loans Agency Operations professional to join our client’s team in a Vice President capacity working 2 days a week in the office and 3 from home. This is an exceptional opportunity for a strategic Loan Operations professional to support the Director of Loan Agency Administration, driving operational excellence across Corporate Banking loan portfolios in London and MEA regions.

You'll play a pivotal leadership role in ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, managing a high-performing team, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, systems, and service delivery.


Key Responsibilities


Strategic Leadership & Team Management

  • Support the Director of Loan Agency Administration in delivering strategic objectives for the function
  • Supervise and develop a team, ensuring adherence to processes, procedures, and quality standards
  • As a member of the Leadership Team, drive consistency in operating standards across Operations
  • Take an active lead in the Operations change strategy, demonstrating commitment through delivery
  • Promote an inclusive, collaborative culture that breaks down silos and enhances team performance


Operational Excellence & BAU Management

  • Ensure effective running of day-to-day loan agency operations, identifying operational issues and mitigating risk
  • Oversee timely and accurate processing of drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, prepayments, guarantee bookings, transfers, new deals, and fees as Agent
  • Process primary and secondary trades with accuracy and efficiency
  • Monitor the group email inbox and ensure swift resolution of queries
  • Ensure nostro outstandings are tightly controlled and reconciled
  • Report delayed items, disputed amounts, and provide updates on outstanding investigations to the Director


Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Liaise with front office, lenders, and borrowers to ensure relevant approvals are obtained
  • Communicate effectively with customers, relationship managers, and participant banks to ensure agency facilities are handled in accordance with loan agreements
  • Maintain robust links with internal teams and demonstrate proactive problem-solving


Process Improvement & Systems Enhancement

  • Ensure adherence to key performance indicators and Quality Assurance standards
  • Work closely with technology teams to establish required system enhancements
  • Drive prioritisation and plan/manage change initiatives for the function
  • Assist with projects and ad hoc tasks that advance the capabilities and scope of the team
  • Contribute to departmental reporting and internal controls preparation


What We're Looking For


Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Demonstrable leadership experience in loan operations
  • Detailed knowledge of loan products and comprehensive understanding of loan documentation
  • Proven customer-centric career experience in banking or financial services
  • Experience working as Loan Agent on syndicated facilities
