Job description

Location: London – Hybrid (2-3 days/week onsite, plus client visits).

Salary: From £90,000 + bonus, negotiable.

Term: Permanent / Full-time (flexible working arrangements).

The Role

We’re seeking a Snowflake Centre of Excellence Lead to be the technical authority on all things Snowflake. In this hands-on role, you’ll:

  • Establish and lead the Snowflake Centre of Excellence.
  • Develop Snowflake IP, including best practices, accelerators, frameworks, and reference architectures.
  • Provide technical assurance and leadership across delivery projects.
  • Support pre-sales activities, thought leadership, and client advisory.
  • Explore Snowflake’s app development and integrations to power new business offerings.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design repeatable Snowflake-based solutions.


Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Extensive hands-on experience designing and delivering Snowflake solutions, including Snowpipe, Streams & Tasks, Data Sharing, Native Apps, Snowpark, Data Clean Rooms, and Cortex.
  • Track record of training and upskilling colleagues or clients in Snowflake.
  • Recognised Snowflake certifications (SnowPro Core, SnowPro Advanced: Architect/Data Engineer).
  • Experience optimising Snowflake performance and cost.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering lifecycles and modern development practices (Python or similar).
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary data teams in consulting or enterprise environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Desirable:

  • Experience with other modern data platforms (Databricks, Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Experience with platform observability and CI/CD for data platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like dbt, Fivetran, Matillion, or Airflow.
  • Experience supporting pre-sales activities in a consultancy or product business.
