Job Specification: Community Advisor (Spanish Speaker – Mexico Focus)

Position Title: Community Advisor (Spanish Speaker – Mexico Focus)

Start Date: October

End Date: November

Commitment: Approximately 4 hours per day

Location: Remote (must be available during Mexico business hours)


Role Overview


We are seeking a Community Advisor with exceptional written Spanish communication skills and a deep understanding of Mexican culture. The successful candidate will play a key role in moderating and supporting community engagement, ensuring that interactions are culturally relevant, respectful, and aligned with our brand tone.

The role requires a proactive and professional individual who can work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams to support campaign initiatives and surface valuable community insights.


Key Responsibilities


  • Community Moderation & Engagement
  • Monitor and engage with online community members across platforms.
  • Foster positive, culturally relevant interactions tailored to Mexican audiences.
  • Ensure conversations remain inclusive, respectful, and on-topic.
  • Content & Culture Alignment
  • Adapt messaging and tone to reflect Mexican Spanish linguistic nuances.
  • Identify local cultural references, idioms, and trends to strengthen engagement.
  • Escalation & Reporting
  • Identify, flag, and escalate inappropriate content or behaviour as needed.
  • Gather and summarize community feedback and sentiment for internal teams.
  • Campaign Support
  • Assist with executing and amplifying community-related campaigns.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align engagement strategies with ongoing initiatives.


Requirements


  • Language & Cultural Expertise
  • Native-level Spanish fluency, with strong written communication tailored to Mexican audiences.
  • Deep understanding of Mexican digital culture, trends, and colloquial expressions.
  • Professional Experience
  • Previous experience in community management, moderation, or digital engagement preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and empathetically in an online setting.
  • Technical & Work Skills
  • Proficient with online community tools (e.g., Discord, Slack, Facebook Groups, forums, or similar).
  • Reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely and independently.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
