Interim Projects Lawyer in London Area

Job description

Major, Lindsey & Africa are working with a NASDAQ-listed Renewable Energy company who need support for 6-12 months, starting in mid-December, to cover a maternity leave in their UK legal team. They require someone with a Projects background, with a particular focus on Real Estate matters, and the role will cover project development contracts, providing advice to the wider business and liaising with regulators, amongst other things. This position is well-suited to someone at the more senior level (8PQE+) with a background in the Energy industry.

You would be part of a small, close-knit legal team, and as such they require someone who is able to take on a broad role and work largely autonomously, reporting to the GC. They are happy for someone to be based in their London or Glasgow office, although there is a lot of flexibility around hybrid working with their ideal being 1-2 days per week in the office.

Requirements:

• 8PQE+;
• Experience in the Energy/ Renewables industry, ideally with time spent in both private practice and in-house roles;
• Available to start in mid-December;
• Based in the UK and able to commute to an office in either London or Glasgow 1-2 times per week for the duration of the contract.
