Vice President, Asset Management (PBSA Business) in London Area

Job description

This is a newly created role due to the company’s expansion plan in the UK. You will be joining a newly set-up UK team to manage an existing portfolio of 4700-bed student accommodation assets. Working with colleagues and partners in the United Kingdom (UK) and Singapore, you will be responsible for formulating and executing asset management strategies across the portfolio and support the company’s growth in the UK and Europe.

Job Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute asset enhancement strategy and annual capital expenditure plans to improve the operating performance and capital value of the assets
• Working alongside portfolio managers to prepare and manage annual budgets and monthly reports
• Be responsible for the operating performance of the existing assets in the portfolio
• Work with the company’s operating partners to ensure that the assets are properly maintained and managed
• Build and strengthen the company’s relationships with operators, development partners and joint venture partners
• Monitor the progress of the development projects alongside the company’s development partners and investment / portfolio managers
• Support the investment team to underwrite investment and development opportunities
• Work with investment managers / portfolio managers on potential divestment opportunities
• Provide other support to the company’s investment/portfolio management teams and operating partners where necessary

Job Requirements

• Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in real estate, business, finance or engineering
• Experienced in real estate asset management
• Familiar with UK student housing, co-living, build-to-rent or hospitality sectors
• Strong financial modelling skills are essential
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Curious and adaptable, with a commitment to continuous learning and personal development
