Triple West Medical are seeking a Specialty Doctor in Paediatrics for a minimum 12 month FTC based in East of England.

The Role:


  • As a Specialty Doctor in Paediatrics, you will play a key role in providing high-quality, family-centred care for children and young people across the Paediatric and Neonatal services. You will join a friendly, supportive, and dynamic team of consultants, specialty doctors, trainees, ANNPs and nurses who are passionate about paediatric medicine and continuous improvement.
  • The Postholder will be involved in acute paediatric and neonatal care, outpatient clinics, and opportunities to develop a special interest within the department. The post also includes participation in the full-shift Tier 2 rota, ensuring round-the-clock, consultant-supported cover for their young patients.
  • This role is ideal for doctors looking to develop towards a consultant career — offering training, supervision, and development opportunities equivalent to those of specialist trainees, including funded CPD, dedicated study leave and quality improvement projects


The Department


  • 22-bed Childrens Ward and 5-bed Paediatric Assessment Unit
  • 12-cot Neonatal Unit caring for infants from 27 weeks' gestation
  • Strong links with tertiary centres and visiting consultants across key subspecialties (Cardiology, Neurology, Endocrinology, and more)
  • Collaborative working with colleagues with nearby NHS Trusts


Requirements


  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Minimum of 2 years’ general paediatric experience (including 6 months in neonatology)
  • MRCPCH or equivalent experience
  • Valid GMC registration and right to work in the UK
  • APLS/NLS certification (or willingness to obtain before starting)
