Quality Inspection Teamleader
We have an excellent opportunity for a Quality Inspection Team Leader to join our team at an exciting time of growth.
As a team leader you will be hands on carrying out some key factory inspections and you will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of a small team of Quality Inspectors covering the following:
Role Requirements
- Responsible for day-to-day management of the inspection team and their duties, ensuring job schedules are adhered to, quality standards and 100% on time delivery are met.
- Attending quality meetings with the quality and production teams to assist in resolving customer issues including review of bought in components.
- Ensuring the team have produced all the work to the highest standards
- Ensuring that all products inspected are in line with the product and customer requirements prior to dispatch.
- Work with other dept heads to ensure rework of non-conforming product is completed in a timely manner.
- Record and communicate all non-conformance found from internal processes on the internal quality management database – jotform – and communicated daily.
- Ensure measuring equipment is kept in good working order and calibrated accordingly where necessary.
- Communicate Supplier Issues and work with the procurement team to manage non-conformance.
- Work with production and despatch teams to prioritise work accordingly.
- Communicate identified defects promptly to teamleaders and collaborate on corrective actions for timely resolution to ensure delivery on time, in full and to the required quality
- Ensure adherence to health and safety during inspections and production activities to promote a secure workplace for all personnel.
Essential Experience
To be considered for this role you will have previously worked as a quality inspection supervisor/teamleader and have worked in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
Within the construction/building materials and fire safety sectors.
- Experience of managing a small team, working to job schedules and meeting daily targets.
- Be approachable with a positive attitude with the desire to lead by example.
- Experience of working in a busy environment and be able to work under pressure, dealing with ever changing priorities.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Able to use measurement equipment and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Standard working hours - Monday – Friday 6am – 3.00pm - paid overtime.
24 days holiday + public holidays
Pay up to 36k depending on experience
