Job description
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Recovery Worker to join a dedicated teams in Durham and Tyne and Wear. This is a full-time temporary role supporting individuals affected by drug and alcohol misuse, helping them progress through recovery and reintegration.

Location: Roles available in the Durham and Tyne and Wear area's
Contract Type: Locum / Temporary (Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm)
Duration: 3 months initially, with potential for extension
Pay up to: £20 Umbrella - £15.85 PAYE exclusive of Holiday - £17.73 PAYE Inclusive of Holiday
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of service users, developing and reviewing recovery plans
- Conduct triage and comprehensive assessments
- Collaborate with partner agencies to deliver shared interventions
- Facilitate access to treatment and community resources
- Lead case management including risk and safeguarding assessments
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and attend reviews and meetings
- Support families and reduce the impact of substance misuse on family life
- Deliver psychosocial interventions in both group and one-to-one formats
- Experience in substance misuse, mental health, or social care settings
- Strong communication and case management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Familiarity with online case management systems is desirable
