Gleeson has partnered with one of the fastest-growing freight forwarding businesses in the sector to recruit a Freight Carrier Coordinator this position is best suited to a driven professional looking to grow there experience with commercial Freight.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a freight professional to join a dynamic and commercially driven team, with clear pathways for career progression into management or broader commercial roles.

In this role you will be working with the carriers to enable competitive rates as well as a strong relationship with the business.

Package:

  • Salary From £30,000 + 2-Bonuses a Yr + Commission Package.
  • Work Type : Hybrid Office Hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage relationships with carriers across air, sea, and road freight.
  • Negotiate competitive rates and service agreements with shipping lines, airlines, and haulage providers.
  • Monitor and maintain carrier contracts, tariffs, and surcharges in line with market trends.
  • Collaborate with overseas agents and partners to ensure optimal routing and pricing solutions.
  • Support the commercial and sales teams with carrier insights and network capabilities for tenders and RFQs.
  • Analyse carrier performance, service levels, and cost structures to ensure profitability and efficiency.
  • Provide market intelligence and competitor benchmarking to inform strategic decisions.
  • Work closely with operations to ensure seamless execution from carrier selection to delivery.

Ideal Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience in freight forwarding, ideally in carrier management, procurement, or network coordination.
  • Strong understanding of global freight operations and rate structures across air, sea, and road.
  • Proven negotiation skills and experience managing carrier relationships.
  • Commercially minded with an analytical approach to pricing and performance.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across internal and external stakeholders.
