Mechanical Fitter

Beeston, Leeds, West Yorkshire

£38,000 + Paid Overtime + Additional Allowances

4-Day Week – Monday to Thursday (37hrs)

Here, you’ll be building complex, bespoke machines from the ground up - equipment that relies on precision fits, fine adjustments, correct clearances, and proper lubrication. You’ll get the satisfaction of seeing a machine come to life - something few fitters get to experience these days.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Building complete bespoke machinery - not just sub-assemblies
• Working with shafts, bearings, gears, linkages, pneumatics, and precision components
• Reading and interpreting detailed mechanical drawings and specifications
• Inspecting, testing, and verifying components during the build process
• Taking pride in producing machinery built to last

What You’ll Bring

• Proven machine build or special-purpose machinery experience
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, fits, and tolerances
• Ability to read, interpret, and build from detailed engineering drawings
