Quality Advisor – 12 to 18 Month Contract

Chemicals / Manufacturing | Start: Mid-November to Early December


Are you passionate about quality systems, audits, and continuous improvement? We’re working with a growing business in the chemical manufacturing sector that’s looking for a proactive Quality Advisor to join their team on a 12–18 month fixed-term contract. In this role, you’ll lead on internal and external audits, manage customer complaints, and support regulatory reporting. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail and a drive to make a real impact in quality management.


The Role


This is a hands-on and varied quality role where you’ll be at the heart of maintaining and improving the business's management systems. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure compliance, support investigations, and promote continuous improvement initiatives. You'll also coordinate internal audits and handle customer queries and data requests with professionalism and clarity.


What You’ll Be Doing


  • Act as the primary contact for external audits (ISO, Kosher, third party)
  • Coordinate and support internal audit schedules and teams
  • Manage the complaints system and support root cause investigations using CAPA tools
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of management systems
  • Respond to customer queries and prepare standardised responses
  • Support with regulatory submissions and sustainability reporting (e.g. Ecovadis, Valpak)
  • Collate and report on key quality metrics, including complaint rates and non-conformances
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement across the quality function


What We’re Looking For


  • Degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline
  • Experience in quality and compliance systems, ideally within a manufacturing or technical environment
  • Strong understanding of complaint handling and root cause analysis
  • Confident handling QC and analytical data
  • Comfortable using Microsoft tools to create reports and manage documentation
  • ISO audit experience and/or a Quality Management qualification would be beneficial
  • Awareness of chemical legislation (e.g. CLP, REACH, GHS) is desirable

Details

  • Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience)
  • Contract: Fixed-term (12–18 months)
  • Start Date: Mid-November to Early December
