Hands on Technical Lead (PHP)

Fully Remote UK (occasional trips to Serbia)

Hands on PHP Technical Lead - £80,000 - £85,000

Hands on Technical PHP Lead - would you like the opportunity to work with one of the leading tech for good companies in Europe?

The Company

A market leading tech for good with a European presence. With a distributed team working fully remotely across the UK and Serbia. You will be joining an established PHP team during an exciting period of growth across their PHP development. You also have the chance to work fully remote or come into the office as much as you like. You’ll also have the opportunity to work with the team in Serbia once a quarter.

Responsibilities

• Design, define and guide architecture systems, allowing requirements to flow freely
• Focus on non-functional requirements ensuring security, reliability and performance are considered
• Work with a distributed team across the UK and Serbia and champion best practices
• Ensure coding standards, automated testing and design within a quality first environment
• Focus on any existing technical debt
• Mentor, coach and upskill team members with your technical knowledge
• Work closely with other teams and stakeholders and management to translate and understand ways of working

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial development experience
• Strong knowledge of Symfony / Phalcon
• Expansive experience with Object Oriented languages
• Application of best practices – DRY / SOLID, etc
• Happy to work with JavaScript / React
• Knowledge of APIs and service oriented work place
• Collaborative approach, happy to contribute and engage with senior management
