Role: Head of IT Operations (IT Ops, Services, Cyber)

Location: Stratford Upon Avon / Cotswolds

Role:

This is a newly created Head of Technology role reporting into board level for an ambitious B2C led organisation that have a superb brand in the market. Physical business, multi-site with award winning services.

The organisation has recently received significant investment, are acquisitive by nature and are looking for a Head of Technology / Head of IT Operations to lead them through their next phase of growth. This role will lead, develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy and also own BAU related run activities.

Broad role, responsible for IT Infrastructure, Operations, Service Management and InfoSec across a multi-million £ well respected brand. Up to 1k users that services thousands of customers around the UK.

Suited to Senior Managers or proven Head of’s looking to really have a significant impact.

Role:

• Develop and execute the IT operations strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead and mentor IT operations teams including infrastructure, service desk, network, cyber security and cloud operations. (7 direct reports)
• Develop and maintain an information security strategy and plan to ensure the security of our systems and data.
• Work to ensure systems are secure and compliant with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS, Cyber Essentials/+, ISO 27001).
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure (on-premises and cloud).
• Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of systems and networks.
• Deliver a cloud-first model, driving efficient use of cloud capabilities wherever possible.
• Service Management, Vendor Management and Technology Resilience

Skills / Experience:

• Demonstrable experience leading a technology function through a significant modernisation, having a good understanding of ITSM, Infrastructure and Operations
• Background in IT Infrastructure / Service Management, now sitting at leadership level
• Experience delivering IT Services and Ops to a multi-site, complex organisation

Hybrid working model, with some travel where needed, commutable from Stratford-upon-Avon, Cotswolds, Gloucester, Evesham, Solihull, Coventry, Birmingham and more.
