IT Infrastructure Lead

Global Digital Media Company | Hybrid working

Overview

Our client, a global leader in digital media, is seeking an IT Infrastructure Lead to design, implement, and manage core IT systems. This hands-on leadership role combines technical expertise in Linux, networks, cloud, and cybersecurity with strong strategic and team-management skills. The successful candidate will work closely with IT partners and internal teams to ensure a secure, scalable, and high-performing infrastructure aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and deliver the IT infrastructure strategy in line with organisational objectives.
  • Lead IT partners and teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Align infrastructure investments with business priorities in collaboration with the IT Director.

System Design & Administration

  • Oversee the design and deployment of IT systems covering hardware, software, networks, and services.
  • Ensure systems are scalable, reliable, and secure.
  • Evaluate and introduce new technologies to enhance performance and resilience.

Linux and Windows Administration

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat) across physical and virtual environments.
  • Manage patching, vulnerability scanning, and system hardening.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues with engineering and security teams.
  • Support and manage Windows Server environments (2012–2022), including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.

Cloud Infrastructure

  • Design and manage hybrid cloud solutions integrating on-premises and cloud (AWS, Azure) environments.
  • Lead cloud migration projects and ensure security best practice, including IAM, MFA, and RBAC.

Network & Security Management

  • Design and manage LAN, WAN, and wireless networks (IPv4/IPv6).
  • Monitor performance, conduct regular audits, and strengthen network security.
  • Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity protocols and compliance standards.

Skills & Experience

  • Solid experience in IT infrastructure leadership or similar roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows systems, networks, and cloud technologies.
  • Proven experience managing hybrid environments and security frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
