Head of Technical and Product Management (UK)

Our UK subsidiary UZIN UTZ UK Ltd is looking for an experienced Head of Technical and Product Manager based in Stafford to deliver excellent, timely customer support and effectively manage all complaint processes. This role is crucial for supporting our sales and marketing teams with up-to-date technical information, ensuring smooth communication across all UZIN UTZ UK brands and facilitating the exchange of best practices with other subsidiaries, upholding our commitment to first-class technical services, training, and product information, maintaining our reputation for quality and support within the UK market.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsibility for the management of technical information and technical service
• Provide detailed information to the company and customers on product technical matters relating to all UZIN UTZ brands
• Manage the technical team, maintaining our reputation for quality service & support
• Proactively monitor and evaluate product performance and development
• Liaise with UZIN UTZ SE and other Business Units under UZIN Utz relating to technical matters and product change
• Take part in company sales and product management strategies
•  Management Reporting
• Technical Compliance under UK construction legislations and with relevant British Standards
• Actively participate to relevant Flooring related associations Technical Committees
• Control, monitor and organise new product launches for all brands that operate at UZIN UTZ UK
• To be a motivating manager, leading by example & promoting an unrivalled technical service in our market.

Essential Criteria

• Experience in the contract flooring market or construction industry, with a knowledge of, and/or background in, floor covering installation and / or subfloor preparation products.
• Strong networking skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with distributors, contractors and retailers, creating long term business partnerships
• Motivated, reliable and focused on success.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good computer knowledge and IT skills
• A full UK / EU driving licence
• Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and resolving issues

Desirable Criteria

• Exposure to budget management or resource planning
• Familiarity with CRM system
• Continuous improvement mindset – identifying and implementing process efficiencies
