Regulatory Lawyer - Social Media - London (Interim) in London Area

Job description

The role is an (initial) six month contract supporting a household name in social media.

The legal secondee will help to address surging demand for legal support across multi-jurisdictional regulation, commercial matters, and compliance, while also tackling the team’s workload from AI initiatives and new market expansions - with a focus on Europe, Singapore and HK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Addressing consumer issues, with emphasis on customer protection, after-sales support, and customer welfare.
• Supporting direct marketing initiatives and marketing campaigns.
• Ensuring data protection compliance, particularly in relation to AI-powered products such as AI chatbots and tools.
• Assisting with new market launches and conducting product compliance reviews.
• Managing aspects of EU market operations

Qualifications desired...

· Substantial experience in EU legislation, or US legislation, or with strong expertise in either AI, privacy, and consumer protection.

· Strong drafting experience, particularly in retail, digital content, and advertising-related agreements.
