Our client, a top magic circle law firm, is actively seeking and experienced and Qualified Conflicts Lawyer to join them on a permanent basis in their London office - working as their new Head of Conflicts (UK & EMEA).


Working in their dynamic and experienced Business Acceptance Unit, you'll be responsible for assessing all new business before it's accepted by the firm's Partners - ensuring their commercial objectives and legal obligations are met!


You'll be leading the entire firms conflicts function (apart from the US) - overseeing conflicts clearance, risk management and compliance with conflicts rules.


As the successful Head of Conflicts, you'll be responsible for:


- Responsible for the day-to-day management and development of the UK EMEA Conflicts Lawyers

- Working closely with the Managing Director responsible for BAU to ensure global standards are met

- Leading on resource management/strategy within the UK EMEA team

- Ensuring the team's service levels are maintained at a high level

- Reviewing and analysing complex conflicts reports

- Being the senior escalation point in the UK and EMEA on conflict resolution

- Developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies

- Ensuring compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct

- Acting as a trusted advisor to Partners and Senior Leadership

To be considered, you'll need to be/have:


- Be a Qualified Lawyer

- Have extensive experience in conflicts analysis and risk management

- Have prior/existing experience of being an escalation point and leading a team

- Have the ability to work in a high-pressure environment

- Have expert knowledge of the SRA Code of Conduct
