Job description

Walker Group provides advanced high-precision manufacturing services from centres of excellence located in the UK and Poland. We are seeking a Deburr Operator to join our Deburr team based at our Glasgow facility.


Responsible for the finishing and preparation of metal components by removing burrs, sharps edges, and other imperfections using a variety of hand and power tools. To ensure parts meet quality standards and customer specifications prior to final assembly or shipping.


Deburr Operator Key Responsibilities:


  • Inspect parts for burrs, sharp edges, and other surface defects
  • Operate deburring tools such as hand files, sanders, grinders and rotary tools
  • Follow blueprints, work instructions, and quality standards to ensure precise finishes
  • Use microscopes or magnifiers for detailed deburring work when necessary
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area and equipment

Deburr Operator Qualifications, Skills & Experience:


  • Educated to standard grade level
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Must be health & safety conscious
  • Experience of working to high quality standards on precision components (desirable)
  • Deburring experience preferred but not essential as full training will be provided
