Job description

Walker Group provides advanced high-precision manufacturing services from centres of excellence located in the UK and Poland. Thanks to continued demand, we’re excited to offer a new opportunity to join our team in Glasgow as a Plating Operator.


Plating Operator Key Responsibilities:


  • Operating manual chemical plating lines as required in various coatings including Zinc, Zinc-nickel, Electroless nickel, Gold and Silver
  • Monitor production tanks by analysis and make chemical additions as required
  • Carry out X-ray testing for thickness of various coatings
  • Filling our Job cards with all relevant details of process carried out


Plating Operator Qualifications & Experience:


  • Educated to standard grade level
  • Demonstrable examples of dexterity
  • Experience of working to high quality standards on precision components (desirable)
  • Must be health & safety conscious
  • Plating experience preferred but not essential as full training will be provided

What’s in it for you?

  • Full time, permanent contract, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Once fully trained, you’ll move onto a two-shift rotation, covering early and backshifts
