Are you a Systems Administrator with experience in Data Centre management and migrations?


Our internationally operating client is looking for a Systems Administrator to support on a large scale project for data centre migration and integration and elevate the IT function to the next level. This role is a remote based UK position with the requirement to travel in the UK and occasionally in Europe.


About the Position

In this role, you’ll be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, in support of business processing requirements. This role comes with the opportunity to assist a large multinational organisation move towards a consolidated approach with their systems, get involved in corporate processes and really make a difference!


Your Responsibilities

  • Installation, configuration and maintenance of operating system of servers, virtual and physical.
  • Support global systems including AD/DNS/O365/Azure/Server Hardware/Storage Hardware/File Storage/DB Servers/App Servers/Virtual Hosts/VMs.
  • Monitoring and tuning of IT systems, to maintain a proactive approach to systems reducing risk.
  • Support hardware solutions and replace systems in line with end-of-life recommendations and hardware failures.
  • Be involved in Change Management ranging from planning implementation, implementing solutions, documenting back out plans individually or in a large team environment.
  • Disaster recovery planning of systems, both new and existing.


Your Profile

  • Previous experience with enterprise level implementation’s
  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure
  • Power shell and Automation experience
  • Power bi/ data visualisation
  • Microsoft failover clustering
  • Disaster recovery planning and testing
  • Mentorship of more junior team members
