Job Title: Agriculture/Farm Underwriter

Location: Remote or Hybrid out of North England offices

Salary: £40,000–£45,000

Role Summary:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and expanding underwriting team, contributing directly to the firm’s continued growth in the agriculture sector. You'll be empowered to take ownership of underwriting activities within your license scope, with opportunities to grow your technical skill set and underwriting authority — all within a supportive, remote-first environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwrite and manage new business, renewals, and adjustments: Ensure accurate and compliant documentation aligned with authority limits

• Demonstrate proactive follow-up: Build a reputation for thorough, responsive underwriting

• Grow your technical skill set: Progress through licensing levels while deepening your product and sector knowledge

• Maintain strong relationships: Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners

• Support business development and change: Contribute to continuous improvement across underwriting practices

Requirements:

• Cert CII preferred

• Strong underwriting knowledge, particularly in specialist or agricultural markets

• Deep understanding of product coverage and pricing strategies

• Working knowledge of the legal and regulatory insurance framework
