Our client is a forward-thinking, rapidly expanding field-based services organisation entering an exciting phase of growth. To support this momentum, they are seeking an experienced Business Unit Leader to take full ownership of the P&L, operations and drive organic growth across the Lancashire region.


This newly created leadership position plays a pivotal role in realising the company’s ambitious strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will lead their business unit to commercial success, operational excellence and create a strong, values-led culture that empowers people to thrive.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver sales growth and achieve ambitious revenue targets
  • Ensure operational excellence, consistency, and alignment with the company’s values and customer promises
  • Drive customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention through service quality and responsiveness
  • Take full ownership of the Business Unit P&L, managing budgets, forecasts, and financial performance to ensure sustainable profitability
  • Demonstrate strong financial management and cost control to maximise efficiency and return on investment
  • Foster a high-performance culture that champions engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Support the implementation of group-wide initiatives, systems, and technologies to enhance efficiency and consistency
  • Work closely with HR to plan for expansion, attract exceptional talent, and nurture future leaders through effective development and succession planning
  • Oversee seamless integration of new business and customers

Candidate requirements:

  • At least 5 years’ proven leadership experience in a field-based service operation
  • Demonstrated success in delivering sustained business growth within a service-led environment
  • Strong financial and business acumen with a results-driven mindset
  • Commercially sharp, customer-centric, and an influential collaborator
  • Skilled at leading teams, developing people, and inspiring performance
  • Confident in driving transformation and embedding new technologies
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
