Restructuring & Bankruptcy Associate (1–3 PQE) – Leading International Law Firm

Are you a junior restructuring lawyer looking to accelerate your career within a globally recognised platform? I’m recruiting on behalf of a leading US law firm seeking a talented England & Wales qualified associate (1–3 PQE) to join its high-performing Restructuring & Bankruptcy team in London.

About the Team:

The firm’s London-based restructuring practice is known for its work on complex, cross-border special situations and insolvency matters. The team advises a diverse client base across key financing instruments including bank loans, high-yield debt, and intercreditor arrangements, often working across multiple jurisdictions.

The Role:

You will:

• Advise on a broad range of restructuring and insolvency matters, including distressed financings, enforcement strategies, and formal insolvency proceedings
• Work on high-profile, multi-jurisdictional mandates alongside leading practitioners
• Draft and negotiate complex documentation with precision and commercial awareness
• Take ownership of matters and contribute to transaction strategy and execution
• Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas and international offices
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives

About You:

• England & Wales qualified solicitor with 1–3 years’ PQE in restructuring and insolvency
• Strong experience across special situations and financing instruments (bank loans, high-yield, intercreditor)
• Exposure to cross-border matters and restructuring-related proceedings
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with a proactive and collaborative mindset
• Intellectually strong, commercially astute, and enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced, international environment
