Quantity Surveyor - Preston in North West

Are you looking to learn more about cost management and quantity surveying than purely the delivery stage of a project?

I’m recruiting for a growing developer with a strong pipeline of commercial, retail, and residential projects ranging from £1m to £20m. They’re looking for someone to take ownership of the commercial delivery phase, ensuring projects stay on track financially and contractually. Given they are self-delivering you’ll be able to learn all about the cost process from land acquisition through to hand over, a very rare opportunity indeed.

What you’ll do:

• Procure subcontractor packages and materials
• Manage JCT Design & Build contracts, variations, and payments
• Monitor costs, produce reports, and close out final accounts
• Visit sites as needed, but remain office-based in Preston

What you’ll bring:

• Experience in design & build delivery
• Quantity Surveying degree (ideally!)
• Strong Excel and contract knowledge
• CSCS card (RICS is a bonus)
• Calm, detail-focused, and good with people

What’s on offer:

• £60k–£70k salary or £325–£350/day contract
