Estimator in York

Job description

Due to ongoing growth, our client is looking for an Estimator to join their business based in York. We are interested in hearing from both Estimators and Senior Estimators, and salary will be competitive and based on experience.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate most of the following experience and attributes.

Skill:

• Ability to plan and coordinate multiple tenders simultaneously.
• Effectively manage your diary to hit deadlines.
• An experienced Estimator who has been working for a principal contractor (highly desirable).
• Previous experience as an Estimator (ideally within residential or social housing development). Or alternatively Civil Engineering/Groundworks

The Role:

• Provide support to the operational teams, site-based supervision, and director with any variations to the original scope of supply.
• Prepare cost plans and tender submissions for new projects.
• Project planning and anticipated cashflow management for projects.
• Maintain a flexible approach in dealing with both internal team members, external clients, and suppliers.
• The processing of Sub-Contractor tender submission and any subsequent package award process.
• Maintain a flexible approach in dealing with both internal team members, external clients, and suppliers.

Salary & Benefits

• Package £65-£80k Inc. Car allowance

• Holiday 25 + 8 Stats
