Job description
Programme Manager Officer - (PMO Lead, £500–£600/day)
Location: Hybrid (UK-based Local Authority)
Day Rate: £500–£600 (inside IR35)
Duration: Initial 6 months
**Must have local authority / government experience **
** Must have MS History of doing a similar role & with MS Planner **
As part of an organisation-wide transformation, we’re establishing a central Programme Management Office (PMO) to keep delivery on track and aligned strategic goals.
We’re looking for a PMO Lead who thrives on structure, pace and accountability, someone who can bring cohesion to multiple work streams, including procurement, operations and people transformation.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Setting up and running programme governance, tracking, and reporting
- Ensuring transformation projects stay aligned with milestones and budget
- Managing project tools (MS Planner, dashboards, reports)
- Supporting senior leaders and reporting to the Board and SLT
You’ll need solid Prince2 (or equivalent) credentials, exceptional organisational ability, and a calm, structured approach to delivery in complex stakeholder environments.
