Westray Recruitment Group is seeking a Machine Operator to join our client on a permanent contract in the Middlesbrough area

Due to ambitious growth plans and a very strong order book they are looking for a motivated and reliable Machine Operator to join their production team in Middlesbrough.

You will be responsible for operating and maintaining die-cutting and slitting machines, ensuring production targets are met safely and efficiently.

No previous print or machine experience is required — full training will be provided

THE ROLE

• You will operate die-cutting and slitting machines according to production schedules
• Monitor machine performance and ensure consistent product quality
• Carry out basic machine setup, adjustments, and routine maintenance
• Inspect materials for defects and ensure finished products meet quality standards
• Follow all health and safety guidelines and maintain a clean working environment
• Assist with material handling and other production tasks as required

THE PERSON

• No previous print or machine experience is required — full training will be provided
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently once trained
• Basic mechanical aptitude is beneficial but not essential
