We’re looking for an experienced Garment Technologist to join our team at our Camden, London Head Office. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is ready to contribute to our growing business. As a Garment Technologist, you’ll collaborate with some of the world’s leading retailers within wholesale, while also driving the growth of our retail business. Your primary focus will be on enhancing Skinnydip’s fit and quality standards. We’re looking for a motivated individual with experience in garment technology, ideally with expertise in womens jersey and experience in childrenswear and underwear. Responsibilities:



  • Lead fit sessions in collaboration with the Buying, Design, and Wholesale Account Management teams to ensure a consistent, high-quality fit and optimal construction methods for all products.
  • Perform risk assessments on products at the earliest stages of development, identifying and resolving any potential issues promptly.
  • Clearly communicate all fit and construction feedback to suppliers to ensure accuracy and alignment.
  • Develop key blocks in partnership with the Buying, Account Management, and Design teams to enhance fitting speed, accuracy, and product performance.
  • Approve test reports for base and bulk materials, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Validate wash-care instructions for all products, ensuring they are suitable and aligned with the product type.
  • Liaise with internal and external teams, including external QC teams, to oversee final inspections, address quality concerns, and recommend improvements.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance product quality and exceed customer expectations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the supply base, ensuring a thorough understanding of their capabilities and technological strengths.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including retail and wholesale, to achieve departmental goals and drive overall success.


What we need from you:



  • You will have experience in a Technologist role, with experience in Women’s jersey, underwear and childrenswear.
  • You have brilliant organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise your workload in order to get the job done to the highest standards
  • You possess a collaborative approach – focusing on strong relationship-building and great communication
  • You have good commercial awareness, a level of financial understanding and numeracy as well as affinity with product
  • Proactive with problem solving skills
  • Willing to adapt and take on new challenges and driven to continually improve
  • Passionate about the role and maintaining high standards of quality and fit.
