Materials Planner – Manufacturing | Buckley | £30,000 – £35,000 per annum

We’re working with a well-established manufacturing business based in Buckley, who are looking to recruit an experienced Materials Planner to join their supply chain team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills and experience in materials or production planning to play a key role in ensuring smooth manufacturing operations.

As Materials Planner, you’ll be responsible for ensuring materials are available to meet production requirements, while maintaining optimal inventory levels and minimising waste. Working closely with purchasing, production, and logistics teams, you’ll help drive efficiency across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan, schedule, and manage the flow of materials to support production targets
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers to maintain availability
• Create and maintain accurate forecasts and MRP data
• Work with production teams to address shortages, delays, or changes in demand
• Analyse material usage and adjust plans accordingly
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain function

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

• Experience in a materials planning, production planning, or supply chain role within a manufacturing environment
• Strong analytical and organisational skills
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments
• A proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities
