Mode Search are collaborating with a global luxury fashion house in their search for a head of HR to join their People team.
This is a rare opportunity to join a brand with a strong presence across retail, this highly regarded luxury business is renowned for its global reach, distinct culture, and dedication to delivering a world-class employee experience.
You will partner closely with the Retail leadership team, acting as a trusted advisor and delivering pragmatic people solutions that align with business goals. With a balance of strategic input and operational delivery, this role offers scope to make a genuine impact on both people and performance.
The position is based in London and will be 5 days from the office.
The Role:
- Build trusted partnerships with Retail senior leadership, acting as an extension of the management team
- Take full ownership of HR for the flagship Maison and
- Supporting a HR population of c.200 staff on
- Act as lead partner for Employee Relations, managing complex and sensitive cases including fraud, resale, conduct, absence, and performance
- Empower and coach the Maison's management team, providing pragmatic guidance that balances commercial priorities with employee well-being
- Support onboarding, induction, and cultural integration of new teams, ensuring seamless alignment with company values
- Develop and deliver people plans aligned to business goals, covering organisational design, succession, and leadership development
- Ensure HR systems and processes are compliant and efficient, working closely with HQ and wider HR teams
- Contribute to broader HR projects, change initiatives, and engagement programmes across the UK and European business
- The role will report to a HRD, support the management of a team of 3 HR Advisors and collaborate with the Talent team
Requirements:
- CIPD qualified (full or part)
- Proven HR Business Partner experience within retail or wholesale, ideally in a luxury or global fashion environment
- Strong understanding of UK and international employment legislation and practices
- Skilled influencer with experience partnering at senior management level
- Commercially astute with the ability to balance strategic priorities and operational delivery
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Collaborative, solutions-focused, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Strong problem-solving capability with the ability to think laterally and drive value within a competitive landscape
