Freelance Quantity Surveyor (Cladding)

Liverpool

12-Month Contract

£350–£400 per day (DOE)

About the Role

We’re working with a specialist facades and cladding contractor based in Liverpool who deliver major external envelope packages on high-rise projects for leading main contractors. They’re looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with strong cladding or façade experience to support a key scheme through delivery.

This position is predominantly site-based, working closely with project and installation teams to maintain commercial control, manage change and ensure the project is administered effectively from early stages through to final account.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing commercial administration for façade and cladding packages on a live high-rise project

• Preparing applications, variations and accurate monthly reports

• Overseeing subcontractor accounts and supporting procurement activities

• Tracking costs, valuations and changes directly from site

• Attending progress meetings and liaising with PMs

• Ensuring contractual compliance and supporting final account negotiation

• Acting as the commercial link between the façade contractor and the main contractor

What You’ll Bring

• Proven QS experience within facades, cladding or external envelope projects

• Ability to work independently in a site-focused commercial role

• Strong understanding of variations, change control and subcontract administration

• Clear communication skills and strong relationship management
