Join a leading independent technology and services provider as a Technician 1 – Desktop Installation

Job Overview:

We are seeking Technician 1 resources to provide desktop hardware installation services for BT Belfast. This role involves basic technical tasks to support service delivery, including unboxing and installing equipment, connecting peripherals, and performing initial power-on tests.

Location: BT Belfast – 5 Lanyon Place, Belfast County Antrim, Northern Ireland BT1 3BT

Rate: Rate: An hourly rate, in-scope IR35, of £13.33 (PAYE) OR £17.30 per hour (via a Hays Approved Umbrella Company).

Start Date: 25-Nov-2025

End Date: 31-Mar-2026

Work Schedule: Mon–Thu, 09:00 – 17:30 (4 days per week)

Key Responsibilities:

• Unbox and install desktop hardware at designated desks.
• Connect peripherals and cables (e.g., power and network).
• Perform power-on self-tests and basic checks.
• Initiate automated builds and simple scripted post-login configurations.
• Follow structured workflows and instructions accurately.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure secure handling of equipment.

Key Requirements:

• Basic technical skills in hardware installation.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and processes.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail oriented.
• Comfortable working on-site in a corporate environment.
