(Artigarvan & Ballyrashane)
Lakeland Dairies Co-operative Society Limited (The Group) is the second largest dairy processor on the island of Ireland. The business is complex and ambitious with a milk supply pool of 2 billion litres of milk, drawn from over 3,200 family farms across 16 counties.

The Group’s Agribusiness Division (Lakeland Agri) operates a state-of-the-art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility and is a leading and innovative provider of the highest quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef and sheep farmers across the north and south of Ireland.
Applications are invited for the above position for our Artigarvan & Ballyrashane sites.
The Role
Our team are seeking a highly motivated and commercial-minded Management Accountant to join our Group finance team. Supporting both our Ballyrashane and Artigarvan sites, this pivotal role will work closely with our site management teams supporting management reporting, cost analysis, budgeting and forecasting ensuring these sites have sound financial control and are operating effectively and profitably.
Key responsibilities will include (Not limited too):
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, including all aspects of gross margin and overhead analysis.
- Support the commercial team with reporting on outstanding orders versus inventory balances, volumes and values.
- Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly KPI’s, financial and non-financial
- Assist in the identification, calculation and interpretation of Profit Improvements Plans (PIPs)
- Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts monthly.
- Preparation of monthly financial forecasts and preparation of financial budgets and 5-year plans.
- Ensure adherence to the Group, No Po No Pay, policy to drive improved overhead reporting.
- Identify and implement new processes & procedures to improve SAP reporting (stock, gross margin, freight).
The Person
This role requires applicants to be a fully qualified accountant, with previous experience of working as an accountant with excellent commercial acumen, analytical and communication skills.
A self-motivator with a high level of initiative, the successful applicant will have excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office), prior experience of ERP/financial systems and who is comfortable acting as a business partner to the business and its managers.
Experience of SAP and/or food manufacturing would be advantageous.
