Role Overview

The firm is seeking an experienced Institutional Sales professional to spearhead asset-raising efforts across the Nordic region. This is a strategic role focused on building and strengthening relationships with institutional investors, including pension funds, insurance companies, family offices, and investment consultants. The successful candidate will represent the firm's strategies, positioning them effectively within the Nordic institutional market and driving meaningful growth in assets under management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Lead efforts to secure new mandates and increase asset inflows from Nordic institutional investors into the firm's strategies.
  • Client Coverage: Establish, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across the Nordic institutional landscape.
  • Strategic Positioning: Communicate the firm's investment philosophy, strategy differentiation, and performance credentials in a compelling and tailored manner.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed on regional trends in asset allocation, ESG integration, and thematic investing to identify and capitalise on opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with portfolio managers and the global distribution team to deliver customised solutions aligned with client objectives.
  • Travel: Regular travel within the Nordic region to meet clients, attend conferences, and represent the firm at industry events.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience: Minimum 7+ years in institutional sales or business development within asset management, with a proven track record of raising assets in the Nordics.
  • Network: Established relationships with Nordic pension funds, insurance companies, and consultants.
  • Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of equities, credit, macro strategies, and alternative investments.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities; capable of operating independently while collaborating effectively within a global team.
  • Languages: Fluency in English; proficiency in a Nordic language (Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, or Finnish) is highly desirable.
