Our client - We’re representing a fast-growing electrical infrastructure business that’s helping to power the UK’s energy transition. Delivering complex high-voltage grid connections, renewable energy, and EV infrastructure projects nationwide. They’re scaling quickly and investing heavily in developing their people, systems, and capabilities to meet increasing demand in the 33–132kV space.


Role Summary - This is a senior-level opportunity for an experienced EHV Estimator to take ownership of the estimating function, bringing structure, technical depth, and commercial focus to the costing and securing of major projects. You’ll work closely with leadership to refine estimating processes and play a key part in bidding for high-value connection and renewable projects. The role is ideal for someone ready to step up into a position with influence, autonomy, and clear progression potential.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage tenders and cost estimates for HV projects (33kV–132kV).
  • Lead on pricing strategies, supplier engagement, and bid submissions for new connections and turnkey infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and project delivery teams to ensure proposals are technically and commercially robust.
  • Support the continuous improvement of estimating systems, tools, and processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, manufacturers, and subcontractors.
  • Participate in site visits, bid reviews, and client presentations as required.


About You

  • Proven experience in estimating or tendering roles within the HV/ICP/power distribution sector.
  • Strong understanding of grid connection and electrical infrastructure (33–132kV).
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to balance technical accuracy with commercial strategy.
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating tools (experience with SimPro or similar software advantageous).
  • UK driving licence and willingness to attend occasional team meetings.
